INOKIM Delivery kit
Every Courier Lease and every scooter on a Business Membership comes with branded INOKIM Delivery gear at pickup, at no extra cost.

Miles per charge at NYC's 15 mph limit. ² From the INOKIM Quick 4 user guide: 55 km for the Super in 25 km/h mode with a 165 lb rider at 77°F. ¹ Our estimate for the Light 2 and OX, based on each battery's capacity at the same energy use. Advertised maximum ranges (Light 2 up to 25–27 mi, Quick 4 up to 44 mi, OX up to 60 mi) are measured at slower eco speeds. Delivery range is lower with a heavier rider or cargo, hills, cold weather and frequent stops.
$199 refundable deposit. Theft deductible: $150 Light 2, $250 Quick 4, $300 OX. Crash damage is capped at the deductible. Weekly plans become yours after 52 payments, monthly plans after 12. Applications are subject to approval.
Premium ride. About 4 hours of base pay a week.
NYC requires restaurant and grocery delivery apps to pay at least $22.13 an hour before tips, as of April 1, 2026. At that rate, the top-of-the-line OX, with full service and coverage, costs about four hours of base pay a week.

Delivery services: NYC Local Law 95 of 2025 bars delivery services from making workers buy their own compliant device. A service can meet the rule by providing compliant devices, or through a subscription program that gives workers reduced-cost or free access. Ask us about a program for your riders.
Get a fleet quoteThe rules, in plain English.
New York has some of the strictest e-mobility laws in the country. Here's what applies to e-scooters, and how every INOKIM Fleet scooter meets it before you ride away.
Citywide speed limit
E-bikes and e-scooters can't go faster than 15 mph on any NYC street. The limit took effect October 24, 2025 and is enforced by NYPD.
NYC DOTLegal e-scooter definition
Under state law an e-scooter must weigh under 100 lb and top out at 20 mph or less. Vendors can't sell, lease or rent a stand-up scooter faster than 20 mph.
NY VTL § 114-eCertified or it can't be leased
NYC bans the sale, lease or rental of e-scooters unless the electrical system is UL 2272 certified and the battery is UL 2271 certified.
Local Law 39 of 2023Age and helmets
Riders must be at least 16. Helmets are required at 16 and 17 and recommended for everyone. INOKIM Fleet riders must be 18+ and get a helmet at pickup.
NY Attorney GeneralWhere you can ride
Bike lanes and streets with speed limits of 30 mph or less. Never on sidewalks. Ride with traffic, stop at reds and use a white headlight and red taillight at night.
NYC DOT delivery rulesWorking riders
Commercial riders carry an ID card, wear a helmet and reflective vest, and complete the DOT safety course. Businesses issue IDs, provide the gear and keep a roster.
NYC CouncilHow we set up every fleet scooter
- UL 2272 certified scooter with a UL 2271 certified battery.
- Speed set and locked so it can't exceed 20 mph, with a 15 mph city riding mode.
- Permanent label showing top assisted speed, rider capacity and motor wattage, as New York requires.
- Front white light, rear red light, reflectors and bell checked at pickup.
- Helmet, retro-reflective vest and INOKIM Delivery kit (lock, jacket and front bag) handed over with the scooter.
What you do
- Complete the free NYC DOT "Do You Deliver?" course at deliver-safely.nyc.gov and keep your certificate.
- Ride at 15 mph or less, in bike lanes or on streets, never on sidewalks.
- Wear your helmet and vest, and carry your worker ID on shift.
- Don't modify or unlock the speed setting. It voids your lease and breaks state law.
- Charge only with the INOKIM charger that came with your scooter.

Why INOKIM beats JOCO and Whizz.
JOCO and Whizz rent budget e-bikes to delivery riders. INOKIM Fleet is the premium option: a Red Dot-winning design you keep at home and eventually own, with full service from our own Chelsea shop. Here's how it compares, using their published NYC prices.

A scooter that folds comes inside with you. No leaving a $2,000 e-bike chained to a pole.
Work a 10-hour shift without riding back to a station every 6 hours.
Capped under 20 mph and set to 15 mph, so new Class 3 rules can't strand you.

Good to know.
Can I use an e-scooter for Uber Eats or DoorDash in NYC?
Yes. DoorDash lets Dashers choose scooters, bikes or cars depending on the market, and Uber lists scooters as a delivery option in Manhattan. Set your vehicle type in the app, and follow NYC's e-scooter rules: 15 mph, bike lanes or streets, never sidewalks.
Is a leased INOKIM scooter legal in New York?
Yes. Every fleet scooter has a UL 2272 certified electrical system and a UL 2271 certified battery, is set up so it can't exceed 20 mph, rides at 15 mph in the city, and carries the label New York requires. Modifying the speed setting breaks state law and ends your lease.
What do I need to apply?
A valid photo ID, a debit or credit card in your name, and the $199 refundable deposit. You must be 18 or older. There's no credit check.
What happens if my scooter is stolen?
File a police report and send it to us within 48 hours. We'll use the GPS tag to try to recover it. If it can't be recovered you pay only the deductible: $150 for the Light 2, $250 for the Quick 4, $300 for the OX.
What if it breaks during a shift?
Bring it to 156 W 15th St any day from 10 AM to 7 PM. Walk-ins are welcome. Wear-and-tear repairs are free, and we'll give you a loaner if yours needs to stay on the bench.
How is this better than a JOCO or Whizz e-bike?
An INOKIM scooter folds, so it comes inside with you instead of staying locked on the street. There's no dock to return to every 6 hours, and you own it after 12 months. If you need the longest possible range, an e-bike with battery swaps can go further, so tell us your shift length and we'll recommend the right model.
Can my business put its own logo on the scooters?
Yes. Team and Fleet members can add co-branded decals next to the INOKIM mark, and rider vests carry your business name and each rider's ID number.
What delivery gear comes with my plan?
Every Courier Lease and every scooter on a Business Membership includes the INOKIM Delivery kit at pickup: a hardened steel fleet lock with stem mount, a branded water-resistant nylon rider jacket, and a waterproof front delivery bag. That's on top of the helmet and retro-reflective vest.
Can I pause or upgrade?
You can upgrade to another model at any time, and your price changes from the next billing date. Couriers can pause for up to one month in any 12 months.
